Saturday, June 17

Betty Reed White, wife of Fred White, of Water Valley, will preach her trial sermon in Mt.  Zion A.M.E. Church, Coffeeville, June 17, beginning at 6 p.m. 

“Everyone is invited to come out and support Mrs. White during her first sermon,” stated Dr. Pastor Moses E. Thompson.

Sunday, June 18

The pastor and members of Pine Grove East Church  would like to invite everyone to attend their Men/Father’s Day Program Sunday, June 18, beginning at 11 a.m Special guest will be Pastor Albert Booker and New Providence M.B. Church of  Water Valley.


The church family at Zion Grove M. B. Church, located at 2441 CR 471, Coffeeville, will host their annual Father’s Day Program Sunday, June 18, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11. The morning sermon will be delivered by Pastor Otha Coffey. The Father’s Day message will be delivered by Pastor Carl Ray of Mount Olive M.B. Church in Tillatoba. The Zion Grove Church family invites everyone to participate in this occasion. 

Dinner will be served following the morning  service.


Mt. Grove M.B. Church will host its annual Father’s/ Deacon’s Day Program on Sunday, June 18, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Darrell Booker of St. John’s Baptist Church, Charleston, will be the guest speaker. The Scuna Valley Male  Chorus will render musical selections. Lunch will be served immediately following the morning worship service.
“Everyone is cordially invited to join us as we pay tribute to our fathers and deacons,” stated Rev. Gregory Wilson, pastor.

 June 19-23

   Turkey Creek Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School beginning June 19 through June 23 from 6 to 8:30 each night. All ages welcome. There will be an adult class. Refreshments will be served at the end of each evening

Saturday, June 24

A gospel singing is scheduled June 24 at Clear Springs Baptist Church, beginning at 7 p.m. The guest group this month will be The Masters Quartet. The church is located at the corner of Gums Crossing Road and CR 186 just outside Coffeeville.

A love offering will be taken and refreshments will be served.  We invite everyone to come out and worship with us.  For more information contact Michelle Kendall at 662-230-2349.

June 23-25

The public is invited to attend the annual meeting at Yalobusha Primitive  Baptist Church, Water Valley, the fourth weekend in June (June 23-24-25). The service Friday night, June 23, begins at 7 p.m. Saturday morning the service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch, and there will be no afternoon services. Elder James Hall will minister on Sunday morning, June 25, beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch. Elder Calvin Warren is the invited mister. Elder James Hall is pastor of Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church.


  The church family at Union Hill Church will honor their pastor, Rev. James W. Johnson, on June 25, with a program at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Darrin  Fowler of Harrisonville M.B. Church will be the guest speaker. Special choirs will be Skuna Valley Male Chorus and the NPC Women of Praise. The church family invites everyone to join them for this special occasion.

 June 25-29 

Vacation Bible School is scheduled at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Sunday, June 25-Thursday, June 29, from 6-8  p.m. each night. The theme of this year’s VBS is “Discovering the God of the Universe, with scripture Colossians 1-15-16. 

There will be Bible Study, crafts, a mission moment, music, recreation, and refreshments each night. Young people, ages 3-6th Grade are invited to attend. Margie Pilcher is VBS Director and Bro. Lynn Jones is pastor of the church.

Sunday, July 9

Usher Day will be held at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, 9601 CR 211, Oakland, on July 9, beginning at 2:30 P.M. All ushers and churches are urged to attend and help give God His praise. Guest speaker will be Pastor Grady McKinney of Parrish Grove Church and he will be accompanied by his church family. 

“Everyone is invited o come and worship with us at this special service,” stated Pastor C. Bell and Usher President Debra White.
