Valentine Event For Vets Cancelled Due To Lack Of Venue
Due to foiled venue plans, regretfully, the Yalobusha Patriots has been forced to cancel their Valentine event honored veterans that was scheduled Feb. 14. Ribbon Cutting Planned For New Medical Supply Business
A ribbon cutting is scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at Yalobusha Durable Medical Equipment, a medical supply company operated by Yalobusha Health Services. The business is located at 420 North Main Street.
Weekend Events At VFW Include Bingo And Dance
Events at VFW Post 4100 this weekend begin with bingo on Friday night, January 9. Sales begin at 6 p.m. and the games start at 7 p.m. The regular Saturday night dance on Jan. 10 begins at 8 p.m. and concludes at midnight. There is a $10 cover charge. The doors open at 6. Both events will be held in VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. Everyone is invited to attend.

ServSafe Food Certification Class Will Be Taught March 22
ServSafe Food Certification Class will be taught March 22 beginning at 7:30 a.m. The certification exam will begin around 4 p.m. and should be completed by 6 p.m. The class will be held at the Yalobusha County Extension Office in Coffeeville. The cost of the course is $140 and the deadline to register is February 22.

Deadline To Register For Homebuyer Class Is March 8
A homebuyer education class is scheduled at the Yalobusha County Extension Building on Thursday, March 8, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This certified program will allow homebuyers to receive a certificate for credit toward various potential home buying loan agencies. Lunch will not be provided at the class; however, participants will take lunch from 12-1 p.m. There will be a $40 dollar fee for the class. Payments may be received through money order only. Order Of Eastern Star Plan Monthly Meeting On Feb. 13
Water Valley Chapter No. 5 Order of the Eastern Star will have their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, February 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m., with a Pot Luck Supper. The event will be held in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle and the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Billy’s Creek Water Association Schedules Annual Meeting
Billy’s Creek Rural Water Association will hold its annual meeting on February 12, at 7 p.m. in the Sylva Rena Community Building.
Black History Community Musical Is Scheduled Feb. 17
The public and all churches are invited to attend a Black History Community Musical Saturday, February 17, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Water Valley Civic Auditorium. Registration For Baseball And Softball Continues Saturday
Magnolia Youth baseball and softball registration will continue Saturday, February 10, and each following Saturday through February 24th. Registration is scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is for ages 3-12 and will be held at the Crawford Sports Complex soccer field storage shed. The fee is $45 per child.
