Gibson Is Speaker At YHS Meeting
The Yalobusha Historical Society will meet Thursday, March 15, at 2 p.m. in its headquarters the former Coffeeville Presbyterian Church. The speaker is Earl Gibson, Director of Membership Services at Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association (TVEPA). Gibson’s topic will be economic development in the county and EnergyRight Solutions offered by Tennessee Valley Authority. Refreshments are served afterwards and visitors are welcome.

Extension Service Offers Training For Restricted Use Chemicals
The Yalobusha County Extension Service will provide a Pesticide Applicators training on Friday, March 16, at 1 pm. in the Multi-Purpose building in Coffeeville.  This training is required for any person who is required to buy restricted use pesticides.  The cost for the class will be $20.

Vets Invited To Meal At Legion Hut
Happy birthday wishes for the American Legion. In their efforts to continue to honor our veterans, the Yalobusha Patriots invites all veterans, their spouses, or a friend to join them in celebrating the March birthday of the American Legion at the American Legion building in Water Valley between the hours of noon and 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.  A delightful buffet of the all-American hot dog with all the trimmings and numerous delightful homemade desserts will be served.

Maximum Champion Wrestling Superstars Plan Fundraiser Match
Maximum Champion Wrestling Superstars will present the Glenn “Murdock” Summers Fundraiser Saturday, March 17 at Backroads, 130 Smith Rd., Cascilla. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bell time will be 8 p.m.

High School/Junior High Registration Is April 23 – 25
Water Valley High School-Junior High will host 2018-2019 school year registration on April 23 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 24 from 3 to 6 p.m., and April 25th from 3 to 6 p.m. Parents/legal guardians will need to bring two proofs of residency, drivers license that matches utility bills, and a voter registration card.

Weekly Dance At VFW Post Is Saturday Night 
The regular Saturday Night Dance on March 17 begins at 8 p.m. and concludes at midnight. There is a $10 cover charge. The doors open at 6. The dance will be held in VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. Everyone is invited to attend.
