High School/Junior High Registration Is April 23 – 25

Water Valley High School-Junior High will host 2018-2019 school year registration on April 23 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 24 from 3 to 6 p.m., and April 25th from 3 to 6 p.m. Parents/legal guardians will need to bring two proofs of residency, drivers license that matches utility bills, and a voter registration card.

Weekly Dance At VFW Post Is Saturday Night 

The regular Saturday Night Dance on March 24 begins at 8 p.m. and concludes at midnight. There is a $10 cover charge. The doors open at 6. The dance will be held in VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. Everyone is invited to attend.

Annual Spring Yard Sale Planned At Pine Valley School

The annual Spring Yard Sale at Pine Valley School will be held Saturday, May 5th. Donations will be appreciated and they can be accepted until April 24th. If you have any questions concerning this please all Judea at 714-0025.

Country Music Jamboree Will Be Held At Gore Springs 

A Country Music Jamboree will be held in the Gore Springs Community Center March 24, beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is $5. The program will feature Lost Tyme with Bill Bailey and J. D. Long, Mike Hyde, and Tyanne Newsome. There will be a concession stand with cheeseburgers, hamburgers, sausage dogs, hot dogs, popcorn, coffee, drinks and desserts.

Live Music Scheduled Friday And Saturday At The Pickin’ Shed

The Pickin’ Shed will have live music Friday night, March 23, at 7 p.m  The Hankins Family, The House Band, and other local talent will take the stage. The action continues Saturday night, March 24, at 7 p.m.  with karaoke.  Singers are invited and welcome.  

A potluck meal is planned both nights at 6 p.m., so bring your favorite dish and come join in the fellowship. Donations accepted on Friday night and there is a $5 cover charge on Saturday night. Alcohol is prohibited.

School Board Sets Meeting Date

The Water Valley School Board of Trustees have scheduled a board meeting on Monday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the central office on Market Street. The public is invited to attend.
