Annual Spring Yard Sale Planned At Pine Valley School

The annual Spring Yard Sale at Pine Valley School will be held Saturday, May 5th. Donations will be appreciated and they will be accepted until April 24. If you have any questions concerning this please all Judea at 714-0025.

North Mississippi Lakes Iris Society Plan Iris Show At Local Church 

 The North Mississippi Lakes Iris Society will  host an Iris Show on Friday, April 27. The show will be held in First Christian Church from 1-3 p.m. The Garden Club of Water Valley will participate in the Artistic Design section of the show.

Reception Scheduled For Art Viewing From High School Classes

On Thursday, April 26, a reception and viewing will be held for 40 pieces of art selected from the art classes at Water Valley High School. The reception will be from 5-7 p.m. at Bozarts Gallery at 403 N. Main Street in Water Valley. The exhibit will end on May 5. The public is welcome to attend the reception or view the work during the regular business hours of Bozarts Gallery. Regular hours of Bozarts Gallery are Friday, 12-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Extension Service Hosts Series On Vegetable Gardening 

The Yalobusha County Extension Service will host a series on vegetable gardening at the multi-purpose building in Coffeeville on April 23rd, May 3rd, and May 11th.  The classes will be held at 6 p.m. and will cover topics of site selection, variety selection, soil testing, best management practices, chemical use, vegetable processing and much more.  If you would like to attend please contact the Extension office at 662-675-2730 to reserve your seat.

Democratic Party Seeks People Interesting In Joining Committee

The Democratic Party is looking for persons from Tillatoba, Coffeeville, and Water Valley interested in joining the Executive Democratic Party Committee. A meeting will be held Saturday, May 5, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Water Valley Courthouse. Refreshments will be served.

Live Music Planned This Weekend At The Pickin’ Shed

The Pickin’ Shed will have live music this weekend. The action starts on Friday night, April 27, at 7 p.m. with Michelle Kendall from Coffeeville, Bro. Jerry King from Camp Ground and The House Band.  On Saturday night, April 28, at 7 p.m., the fun continues with karaoke. Singers are invited and welcome. A potluck meal is scheduled both nights at 6 p.m. Bring your favorite dish and come join in the fellowship.

Donations accepted on Friday night and there is a $5 cover charge on Saturday night. Alcohol is prohibited.

Bobby Hood Band Will Take The Stage Saturday At The VFW

 The regular Saturday Night Dance on April 28 begins at 8 p.m. and concludes at midnight.  There is a $10 cover charge. The doors open at 6. The dance will be held in VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. Everyone is invited to attend.
