The church family at United M.B. Church cordially invites everyone to come out and participate in their Mother’s Day Program May 13, beginning at 9 a.m. 

“Show your mother some love, not just on this day, but every day,” reports Rev. Calvin Hawkins, pastor.


Sunday, May 20

The church family at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tillatoba will have their third annual Women’s Day Program Sunday, May 20, beginning at 3 p.m. There will be  three speakers for the evening. 

“A warm welcome is extended to all women to attend this special program,” stated First Lady Yolanda Cotton. Rev. Louis J. Cotton serves as pastor of the church.

Chapel Hill Church, located a 1140 CR 118, Water Valley, will have the annual Homecoming May 20, with the program beginning at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Stacy McMurry of Batesville. Also special guests will be the Mt. Olive Church family and choir. 

Pastor Jerome Battle and the Chapel Hill Church family cordially invite everyone to attend this special service.

The Zion Grove M.B. Church family will have a combination Memorial and Homecoming  Program on Sunday, May 20, Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by worship and memorial services at 11. Flowers may be placed on loved ones’ graves following the morning services. The homecoming program will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the message will be delivered by pastor Fred Butts of Nelson Chapel M.B. Church, Pope. The church is located at 2441 CR 471, Coffeeville. 

“Everyone is invited to attend these services and we would appreciate your presence on this occasion and are looking forward to worshiping with former members and friends,” stated the church family. Lunch will be served following the morning services.

 United M. B. Church will have their Memorial Day Observation, along with the morning service, on May 20, beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Phillip Brackett and the Everdale M.B. Church family of Water Valley will  be their special guests. 

“Everyone is invited to come out for this special service and we are looking forward to seeing you there,” stated Rev. Calvin Hawkins, pastor.


If you have family members buried at Muddy Creek, Antioch United Church, donations are needed for the upkeep of the cemetery. If you want your family members graves kept up, there are expenses. Please send your donations to: United M. B. Church, P. O. Box 641, Coffeeville, MS 38922.
