Texas Pastor Will Speak At Sylva Rena Church

On April 13, Pastor Mark Brumbelow and his wife, Cherry, will share an inspiring story of distributing Christmas shoeboxes in Barbuda.

The Sylva Rena Baptist Church family invites everyone to join them to hear the inspiring story from Pastor Mark Brumbelow and his wife, Cherry, on Saturday, April 13, beginning at 2 p.m. They serve a church of 30 members in Wild Peach, Texas, which accomplished something miraculous in 2015—packing 2,172 Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts, followed by 5,321 in 2016. In 2017, the church packed 8,030 shoebox gifts, even though many of their homes were devastated by flooding from Hurricane Harvey. They even raised the suggested donations of nine dollars for each gift.

Shortly after, the Brumbelows were invited to travel to storm-ravaged Barbuda to distribute shoebox gifts to children who had lost their homes to Hurricane Irma. Through Operation Christmas child, this remarkable couple brought hope and joy to children worldwide in spite of tragedy.
