WVHS Powerlifting

Water Valley High School senior Marley Cook broke three records at the state powerlift meet Saturday. Competing in the 308 pound weight class, Cook racked up an impressive 700 pounds in the squat, which is a new state record in 3A competition. He also pumped 415 pounds in the bench press, setting another state record in 3A competition. His total weight of 1,715 pounds in the lift was another state record, earning him a first place finish. Ironically as a junior, Cook also set three state records in the 2018 State Powerlift Championship.
