Residential Garbage Customers In Water Valley Are Reminded To Bag Garbage

Water Valley Street Department Superintendent Mike Scroggins would like to remind all residential garbage customers in the City of Water Valley that all garbage must be placed in garbage bags before putting it in your garbage can. Scroggins reported that his garbage pickup crews are encountering loose garbage in cans, which is in violation of the city’s ordinance. 

Scroggins also said garbage cannot be placed in small sacks, such as grocery sacks, etc.

Scroggins said workers WILL NOT dig through cans to get the loose garbage out.

He also reminded everyone that garbage cans need to be out on the curb by 7:30 a.m. on pickup day.
