Water Valley Man Faces Sexual Battery Charge

A Water Valley man has been charged with sexual battery. Water Valley Police Chief Jason Mangrum reported Timothy Aaron Dewberry, age 39, was arrested on Saturday, March 13, after alleged sexual contact with a minor child.
Mangrum reported his department received information about the incident and contacted the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services to assist his department. The agency conducted a forensic interview as part of the investigation.
Dewberry was released from the Yalobusha Detention Center on March 16 after posting a $75,000 bond. The charges will be presented to the grand jury in June.
“This investigation is still ongoing,” Mangrum added.
