Good luck to our 4-Hers who will be participating in the Northwest District 4-H Horse Show this week in Winona.
There will be a 4-H Congressional Awards Club Interest meeting on Tuesday, June 15, at 5 p.m. at the Extension office located in the Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville. This meeting is for parents and youth interested in participating in the club, which is open to participants ages 13 – 18. The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all youth regardless of ability, circumstance, or socioeconomic status. Participants earn Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver and Gold medals. Enjoy the fun of 4-H at home with our 4-H Grab & Go Summer Activity kits! The kits are free to Yalobusha County 4-H youth, ages 5-1, If you are not a 4-H member, not a problem, it’s easy to sign up. The pickup and registration deadline schedule for the kits is as follows:
June 22 – Gardening Kit – Register by June 8;
July 13- Arts & Crafts Kit – Register by June 29; and
July 27 – STEM Kit – Register by July 13.
It is also time to register for the 4-H Cooking kits for June. The kits are $5 each and contains a recipe, the ingredients you will need to complete the recipe, a kitchen tool, educational information about the featured food and an activity evaluation. The deadline to register is Friday, June 11, and the distribution date is Thursday, June 17 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information call the extension office at 675.2730 or email me at p.redwine@msstate.edu.
The Yalobusha Bots – 4-H Robotics Club will meet on Tuesday, June 15 at 4 p.m. at the Extension office. There are two meeting options – Face to Face or via zoom. The program topic this month is Light Circuits from Kit #2. The kits cost $5 and can be picked up at the Extension office.
The 4-H Cloverbuds Club will meet on Thursday, June 17 at 4:30 p.m. This club is open to children ages 5-7. For more information please contact club volunteer leader Natalie Turner at: gnatibryant@gmail.com.
The 4-H Ground Breakers will meet on Saturday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. This club is open for youth ages 8-18. For more information, you can also contact Turner.

The Loops of Love Crochet MHV Club will meet on Thursday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at the Extension Office. Please bring your own yarn and crochet hook.
The United Y.C. MHV Club will meet on Tuesday, June 15 at 9 a.m. All members are encouraged to attend.
