Water Valley Rotarians Janet Dickey, Lee McMinn and Cinnamon Foster were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows at a club meeting last month. District 6800 District Governor Jenny Jones recognized the members for the accomplishment.
The Paul Harris Fellow acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. The award is named for the club’s founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905.
Donations made to The Rotary Foundation help provide an array of programs that achieve beneficial changes in our world: improved living conditions, increased food production, better education, wider availability of treatment and rehabilitation for the sick and disabled, new channels for the flow of international understanding, and brighter hopes for peace.
