University of Mississippi Celebrates May 2022 Graduates
UNIVERSITY – More than 3,300 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in May 2022. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Accountancy, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Journalism and New Media, Law and Pharmacy.
Students from Water Valley earning degrees include:
• Morgan Wethington majored in Psychology and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts.
• Lauren Poss majored in University Studies and earned a Bachelor of University Studies from the General Studies.
• Victoria Hulbert majored in Creative Writing and earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Graduate School.
• Samuel Dunn majored in Accountancy and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Patterson School of Accountancy.
• Carlye Washington majored in Accountancy and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Patterson School of Accountancy.
• Mariah Daniels majored in Social Work and earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the School of Applied Sciences.
• Donovan Gaston majored in Exercise Science and earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the School of Applied Sciences.
• Katelin Byars majored in Finance and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Business Administration.
• Caleb Jones majored in Banking and Finance and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Business Administration.
• Annabelle Botts majored in Elementary Education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the School of Education.
• Emily Brown majored in Elementary Education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the School of Education.
• Foster Roush majored in Computer Science and earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the School of Engineering.
• Cameron Johnson majored in Juris Doctor Law and earned a Juris Doctor from the School of Law.
• Kathleen Workman majored in Juris Doctor Law and earned a Juris Doctor from the School of Law.
• Jacey Gossett majored in Pharmacy Prct. Track and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy.
Students from Coffeeville earning degrees include:
• Pattavious Turne majored in Allied Health Studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts.
• Jessica Cobb majored in Law Studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in Law Studies from the School of Applied Sciences.
• Ja’lahya Stokes majored in Social Work and earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the School of Applied Sciences.
Students from Oakland earning degrees include:
• Nikyra Jenkins majored in Psychology and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts.
• Anna Hodges majored in Elementary Education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the School of Education.
• Cearra Moor majored in Journalism and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the School of Journalism and New Media.
May 2022 graduates were invited to walk across the stage at the University of Mississippi 169th Commencement exercises, which were held by individual colleges and schools May 4-8. The universitywide morning convocation was held on Saturday, May 7 in the Grove, with UM alumnus Bradford Cobb, a celebrated music industry executive, giving the keynote address.
