Dear Editor
I would like to know why the gas prices in Water Valley are higher than many of our neighboring communities. I filled up in Batesville Monday for $2.99 per gallon and Oxford, Grenada, Pontotoc and other cities are less expensive.
The prices are tough for the people in our community. Water Valley is losing money because people are filling up when they visit other areas. The city also loses sales tax revenue when gas and other items are purchases in other areas. Can anyone explain why our prices are so high?
