Annual Holiday Miniatures Exhibition Opens At Bozarts Friday

The annual Holiday Miniatures Exhibition at Bozarts Gallery opens this Friday, Nov. 18 for a sneak preview from 6 to 8 p.m. On display are over 100 small sized original art works by 22 local artists in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, wood and metal work, fabric and silk screen, and other artistic expressions.

Most miniature art work fits in the size of an open hand. At Bozarts Gallery, it is work that is smaller than 8×8 inches (not millimeters). So, come out and leave your magnifying glasses at home.

This year’s participating artists include Jonathan Kent Adams, Ann Brock, Ashley Brewer, Haley Chiles, Pati D’Amico, Kate Donovan, Zoe Fitch, Mari Foster, Mary Margaret Hickman, Lucy Gaines, Katrina Geenen, Thomas Grosskopf, Timber Heard, Macon Humphries, James Kane, Hannah McCormick, Allison Movitz, Vera Pa, Stacey Rathert, Seth Thibodaux, Durant Thompson and Amy Webb.

Bozarts Gallery is dedicated to the growth and advancement of the fine arts in the region. Catch the sneak preview at the gallery for best dibs, and head on over to TIN for a music show with blues singer Effie Burt at 7:30 pm.

The Miniatures Show will be on display until December 18, 2022. The artists reception and a holiday Cookie Contest will be on the night of the Christmas Parade, December 2, 6 – 9 pm.

Gallery holiday hours are Thursday evening 4-7 pm, Friday afternoon 1-5 pm, Saturday 10-2, and by appointment. All events are free and open to the public.
