Chamber Plans Magical Christmas Night

WATER VALLEY – The Chamber’s annual “Christmas in the Valley” is scheduled Friday evening, Dec. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. with horse-drawn carriage rides, after-hours shopping, live Christmas music and plenty of food.

Merchants will extend their business hours for your shopping conveniences and local restaurants and vendors (Bounds Barbecue, G & G’s Fry Company Lee Lees Lemonade) will serve food. Christmas music is planned at the Railroad Park pavilion starting with children from Faith Learning Center at 6 p.m. Youth from the Little Professionals daycare will follow at 6:15, followed by Chloe Clement at 6:30, Ali and Colton Horner at 6:45 and Bayson Chapel Choir at 7 p.m.

The Chamber office will be open to answer questions and t-shirts will be available for purchase during the night. Volunteers with Second Chance Animal Alliance will also be selling ornaments next to the Chamber office. Ornaments cost $5 each and can be customized with your pet’s name.

The Water Valley Main Street Association’s Cookie Stroll will provide a variety of tasty treats placed in Main Street businesses. The Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley will host Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Magnolia Coffee Company on Main Street for pictures from 6 to 8 p.m. Pictures are free, but you must use your own phone or camera.

The route for the carriage ride will begin on Railroad Street and tickets can be purchased for $3 each. And don’t forget Frosty and Friends are returning to the Valley for this magical night. Frosty is predicting snow, at least in front of the B.T.C. Old Fashioned Grocery.
