Nancy and Billy Chambers and Stephanie and Scotty Chambers spent last week in Gatlinburg and had a wonderful time.
Christian love and sympathy to the Martha Ruth McCullar Tatum family of Water Valley. Martha Ruth passed away early Sunday morning. What a precious lady. I know heaven is celebrating her arrival. She will be solely missed here on earth. Martha Ruth and I graduated together from Oakland High School back in 1959. Rest in peace, sweet girl.
A certain pretty girl was seen sporting a new car driving on the streets of Tillatoba! Kim Beavers, I love your new car and what a sweet husband to gift you with one as an early Christmas gift. I know Hannah and Caitlyn are going to enjoy their momma’s other car.
The kids and some grown ups had a great time decorating cookies at Tillatoba Baptist Church Saturday – what a sweet memory for everyone attending.
Mickey and Daisy Isbell had a good Thanksgiving! Will and Erika Anderson with their daughter, Kayla Ann, and son, Kaleb, were here with Daisy’s son, Dillon, his wife, Mendy, and their daughter, Emilie. The group also included Michael Isbell and family including Devren, Kelsie, Kayne, Kylie Rhea and also Daisy’s granddaughter’s feller, Joshua.
They had chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad, rice, crawfish dressing, cranberry sauce and various deserts. A good time was had by all.
Martha Box had a great time with her great-grand, Addie, and her sweet friend, Lacy Busby. They kept her busy Friday all day and night. Saturday morning all three of them made a super mess cooking breakfast.
After taking care of visits about town, Addie took her Christmas shopping again. Martha reported it was super fun. They had early supper and Addie took off and left granny in a mess. Ha!
Saturday night Martha went out and ran into fun and friends. She said how is it that the nurses she worked with still look so sassy – Myra Liberto, Margaret Bailey, Carolyn Deaton Ratliff and ole hot lips, Emt Raymond Liberto.
“My word, they had me thinking we were back at work ICU and ER at GLMC,” Martha added. She saw several other work partners and friends and it was a great visit as they all showed ole lazy Raymond how to DANCE.
Tommy and Deborah McCool and Tommy’s sister, Alice Kellum, went to Leland and Greenville Sunday and put Christmas wreaths on their loved ones graves. They also went to their sister’s house and visited a while before coming on back home.
The McCools are having all their children and grandchildren this Saturday night, the 10th, to their house for their family Christmas get together. Debbie said she was looking forward to seeing them all together.
Over 40 folks met at the Chambers Compound (Gary and Jennylou’s) for a Thanksgiving feast. Betty Sue Chambers was so happy all her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids were there. They had three hams and two turkeys. Adam and Jacque Chambers smoked a ham and turkey. Gary did one in a air fryer. They had over 10 desserts and 30 dishes of food to enjoy. Attendees were Betty Sue Chambers; Gary and Jennylou; Adam and Jacque Chambers; John and Arica Box; Scotty and Stephanie Chambers; Brent and Samantha Anderson; Kim and Aaron Poynor; Hayden and Logan Pickle; Billy and Nancy Chambers; Anna and Joanna Pullen; Marty and Wanda Sue Winters; Jesse Winters and friend, Tyler Winters; Ashley Hankins and her children; Ramon and Amanda Winters; Alexis Lantrip and her husband and son, Dewayne, and Misty Winters; Syerra Winters and her daughter, Dakoyta Winters, and his wife and Betty Winters. Jacque said they had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family. Just a house full of love!
Thank you, Tim Sullivan, for helping me look for things in my shed Friday; Donna Sue and Miranda for the donuts Saturday morning; and thanks, Donna, for coming Sunday and decorating my tree and finishing up in my den. I felt like a load had been lifted off my shoulders!
Happy birthday to Mahaley Hames on the 10th; daughter, Brandy Rounsaville, celebrates the 11th; a dear friend of mine, Ronnie Hamilton, the 12th; and also Lillian Standridge and Missy Burney celebrate on the 12th; Loretta Jackson, Margareta Dotson and Sandy Sturdivant celebrate the 13th; and Lee Jackson and Myra Dempsey share a birthday on the 14.
