In my January 17th news, I left out Jess Tillman as a brother to Paul Hill Tillman who passed away January 13, 2023 in Las Vegas. My sincere apologies to you, Jess.
Frank Manzo finally had surgery to fix his broken tibia Wednesday morning. He will go directly to the rehabilitation department in the hospital where he has been. Now he can begin his return to health and home. The family wants to thank you all for your prayers. They have been a great source of comfort to them.
My up-the-road neighbor, Debbie McCool, said she stayed in all weekend with a sinus infection. She was all stopped up and sneezing, so she stayed in and took medicine to keep it from getting worse. Her husband, Tommy, came in last week with it and this was the first time in several years she caught it from him. Debbie was feeling better by Monday morning.
Diane Dukes, Sam and Anna Pullen and baby Joanna shopped in Tupelo last Sunday afternoon.
Martha Box and sister, Joyce Stevens made a girls’ trip to Palestine, Texas to see their brother, Ronnie, and sister, Pat. They had a great time. They saw Pat and a couple of her grands and a house full of Ronnie’s kids and grands. Joyce said they were treated like they were royal and had a wonderful time.
“Wished we had more time to see all my nieces and nephews – such a large family.
We cooked and fed brother Ronnie. He really liked that home cooking. Brother Ronnie took us out for breakfast yesterday to send us off ,but not before it took four men to change my wiper blades,” Joyce said.
She thought that was funny, but I bet they didn’t because it was in the rain! She and Martha made it home safe and sound in spite of the rain keeping them on their toes coming home!
“Ginger Harrison said it’s all nice and quiet in her neighborhood. Not much going on. Boys are back into their school routines and rocking along,” she added.
Happy anniversary to Barry and Doris Hoop on February 3. I hope you two have many more years to celebrate!
Logan Rose had a great birthday lunch at No Way Jose Sunday on the 29th. Logan is growing up way too fast. Seems like only yesterday Jake and Roseann were announcing his birth and now he is a big four year-old!
Happy belated birthday to Mike Robinson on the 29th. You snuck one in there on me, Mike. Also Donna Box celebrated another one the 29th. Starting out February birthdays are John Lippincott on the 1st; Amanda Hailey celebrates the 2nd; Romona Pryor Beardain the 4th; Wayne Simmons the 6th; and Wanda Crawford, Jeff Staten and Jonathan Dees share a birthday on the 7th. I hope you all have a great day of celebrating your special day.
Mark and Faye Hartley had a birthday dinner for their son, Nathan last Sunday. Those attending were Kristie, Chase Swope, Nathan, Mary Brett, Rowland and Mclendon Hartley.
Thought for the day…The best way to get even is to forget.
