Junior Auxiliary Announces March, April Lineup

The Junior Auxiliary (JA) of Water Valley has released the upcoming schedule for March and April. On March 25, the JA Annual Watermelon Pageant will be held at 5pm.  The public is invited to come support this longtime favorite event. All proceeds to benefit children in our community.

On April 1, the JA will host an Easter Egg Hunt at City Park.  The hunt begins promptly at 9:30.  Please bring your own basket and your phone/camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny! The action continues on April 29 with the annual Annual Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at the Yalobusha Country Club at 9 a.m.  Please contact JA to register your team or to inquire about tournament sponsorships for your business!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt Is April 1 At Cossar State Park

Friends of Cossar State Park extend an invitation to attend the annual Easter Egg Hunt at George P. Cossar State Park on Saturday, April 1, starting at 10 a.m. Events include games, an egg hunt, prizes and more. The Easter Bunny plans to make a special appearance. In case of rain the event will be held the following Saturday.

Yalobusha County Ducks  Unlimited Plan Crawfish Boil

The Yalobusha County Ducks Unlimited chapter will have a spring crawfish boil on Saturday, April 8, at noon. The boil will be held at the Hendricks Venue and tickets are $45 for single, $60 for a couple and $25 for youth (15 and under). An auction and raffle are also planned. Friday Dance, Saturday Bingo Scheduled At The VFW

Bingo is scheduled Friday night, March 24, at VFW Post 4100. The doors open at 5 p.m. and play gets underway at 7. The weekend action continues Saturday, March 25 with the Falcon Station taking the stage. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the dancing starts at 7 and ends at 11 p.m. The post is located just outside of Water Valley at 11535 Hwy. 315.
