Attendance Awards

The Water Valley High School traveling attendance trophy is making the rounds as each homeroom class competes for the highest attendance average each week. Among recent winners are Coach Clint Faust’s class.

Jeff Byrd’s U.S. History homeroom class won the traveling trophy this week, his Homeroom had the highest average for the week in attendance. School officials report the friendly competition helps the students understand the importance of being present all day every day.

Anna Koshenina’ s homeroom won last week’s attendance trophy. Water Valley High School interim principal Drew Pitcock reported the school’s average daily attendance is audited each October and school officials are encouraging students to make it a habit to attend school every day.
