WATER VALLEY – Enthusiasm is building for this year’s Art Crawl that will feature almost 50 local artists and two viewing routes in a city-wide show that runs from October 28 through November 7. Sponsored by the Water Valley Arts Council, co-directors Becca Finley and Zac Danneman report that the 13th Art Crawl will be Covid careful with store window displays and lawn installations that can viewed with minimal contact with others.
Themed “Reveal. Rejoice. Remember.” the organizers focused on making the event welcoming for all artists – young and old and for beginner or experienced. Over 20 businesses have committed to make window space available for the Crawl.
“We have a substantial pool of participants, including new artists who have never been part of the Crawl before, and we could not be more thrilled,” Danneman reported. The artists will be revealed on the Water Valley Main Street Association website, mainstreetwatervalley.org, on October 14.
The lawn installations will lead you on a journey around town, complete with a story to connect the pieces.
“We are loving the addition of the lawn installations,” Finley added. “It is exciting to imagine this type of art becoming more visible in our community.”
Sponsors for this years events are the Water Valley Main Street Association and Hallie Thomas with ReMax Legacy.
