Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce board member Angie Hodge holds the “top secret” paperwork for this year’s Braswell Hatcher Community Service Award recipient.
WATER VALLEY – The Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual reception at Fountain Square Event Plaza on Monday, May 8. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with light refreshments, and the program will follow at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Gray will speak on the state of the city and other topics of interest to Water Valley citizens, a longstanding tradition. The new 2023-2024 Chamber board and officers will be introduced along with the presentation of the Braswell Hatcher Service Award. The prestigious honor was named for the first recipient and was established by the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce in 1998. It is given to an area citizen for untiring and exemplary service to community by someone who has served in a fashion above and beyond the norm. The name of the recipient remains a secret until the night of the presentation.
The Chamber of Commerce cordially invites everyone to attend this event.
