Y’all don’t forget the Yalo-Ribbon Festival in Oakland on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be live music, vendors, kids area, railroad history and memories, and the famous giant cakewalk!

Congratulations to my great grandson, Bradley Holliday, for receiving three awards on Awards Day – A-B honor roll, Archery and LEAP. We are so very proud of you!
Congratulations James Lee Sturdivant for graduating from kindergarten at Carroll Academy. Time is flying by too fast!

Darlene Moorman had a procedure on her back at 9:30 Monday morning at the Batesville hospital. Praying for you to heal well and fast!

“This ole gal did enjoy Harrison great picking and singing with a bit of swinging Tuesday night at Carmella’s restaurant,” Martha Box shared. She said there was fantastic food, wonderful music and great visiting with many friends. She also shared there was a fun graduation and birthday supper for her grandson, Josh Harrison, Friday night. Martha’s busy schedule continued Sunday with a wonderful church visit at Willow Springs Assembly Of God.

“Great word and great music, SEND DOWN THE RAIN LORD!” she said.

He heard you Martha because we had a little storm late Sunday afternoon!
Shelia Jackson attended a baby shower for Chelsea Gazaway  at Friendship Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. Chelsea received a lot of useful gifts. She doesn’t know the gender of the baby and I think that makes it more exciting!
Shelia had cataract surgery last week and will have the other one done later.

Maria Walton came from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Grenada to visit. Daisy Isbell, Rina Chaney, John and Virginia Walton and their grandson, and Ezra Walton met her at Applebee’s for lunch Saturday. She reported they had a real nice visit.

Phil and Ginger Harrison have been busy celebrating their son, Josh. They had a family celebration at Applebee’s on Friday night and celebrated Josh’s upcoming birthday (10th) and his upcoming graduation (12th). They all had a great time visiting and were glad Paul and Tisha Frazier of Holcomb could join them.

On Saturday, Josh competed in the 4-H Northwest District shoot and placed first in the one-handed .22 pistol competition. He will compete at the state competition in July. Josh also competed in shotgun competition at district and shot 13 out of 15.

Phil and Ginger’s oldest son, Jake Harrison, moved home from Delta State University on Friday and made it home just in time for supper. Ginger said her house looks like a dorm room exploded in it, but it does make a Momma’s heart feel good to have both boys home for a bit. Sunday they all enjoyed homecoming at Pine Grove. “I’m stuffed and I need a nap or a very early bed time,” Ginger added!

Happy Birthday to Freddie Wayne  McClanahan and Jane Claire Deck, our daughter-in- law on the 11th, to Shannon Dukes on the 12 th, Gene “Pudden” Standridge, Gale Holliday and Kelly Walton Cassatta share a birthday on the 13th, Teresa Jackson on the 15 th, my long time friend, Daisy Walton Isbell celebrates the 16th and Faith Tillman and Joy Walton celebrates the 17th. I wish all of you a wonderful day.
