The Watermelon Queen Tea is a long-standing event. Eleanor Houston, the first Watermelon Queen, was the featured guest at a tea hosted by Mrs. Kermit Cofer in 1931.
The event is hosted jointly by the Water Valley Town and Country Garden Club and The Simmons House. Everyone is invited to attend and refreshments will be served. This beautifully restored Greek Revival home is the perfect showcase for this continuing Carnival tradition.
The event is free and open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
