Phil and Ginger Harrison went to see their son, Josh, play with the band “In Debt” at 333 Restaurant in Grenada. They enjoyed a nice meal there with Ginger’s momma, Martha Box, and her sister, Candy. Their other son, Jake, is doing trailers, bumpers and news reports at the Delta State University radio station as part of his class requirements. He is really having a good time with that.

Darlene Moorman’s great grandson visited her over the weekend. Bless his heart, he went back home crying because he wanted to stay with Mawmaw. He watched church with Darlene Sunday morning. She said he held his little arms up to the good Lord and said, “praise the Lord.”
“I just had to grab him and give him a big hug. It was so sweet,” Darlene said.
Five years old and praising the lord – someone is raising him right, Darlene.
Lila Myrick said to please put her niece, Kirsti Daves, on your prayer list. Kirsti had to go to the ER Sunday with heart palpitations and weakness in her arm. The ER doctor said she was hypoglycemic and her potassium is low. She has to make an appointment with her doctor Monday.
Kirsti is Bobby Joe McClanahan’s daughter. Thanks in advance for your prayers.
Speaking of Lila, she went to Oxford early Monday morning for an ultrasound on the arteries in her neck. Hope and pray there are no blockages… Said she would hear from the tests Friday.
Sheryl Goode’s visitors recently were her daughter, Dana, stepdaughter, Linda Shelton, and son-in-law, David Shelton. They came the weekend before Easter. Her other daughter, Sonja, and her family were to come Easter but some of them ended up with a stomach virus. So there went that trip! I told them to keep that stuff up there.
Michael and Gloria Marceleno took her mother, Mildred and Carl Kendall out to the truck stop to eat and celebrate Mildred’s birthday.
Martha Box said she ran into my friend, Coach Bill Roberson. Martha said Coach wonders why I never say happy birthday to him, adding that I say it to three others who share the same birthday as him. Well, let me know, Bill and I will be honored to wish my friend a happy birthday!
Martha said several others told her how they love reading the Tillatoba News report.
Martha and her sister, Joyce Stevens, spent a few hours with Larry Stephens the other day. She reported it was great to see Karen and her so sweet man and family.
Martha also said it was great to see everyone at Bacaum Chambers’ funeral Saturday and we are all sad for their loss.
Martha and Joyce had a great lunch with their niece, Kayla, and her girls.
Martha made it to Tillatoba Baptist Church Sunday morning and reported hearing a wonderful message by Bro. Harris.
“With all the fears we may have in this world HE,JESUS IS STILL HERE. HE is above all the fear! Had me humming “Because He Lives, I can face tomorrow!” Martha said.
Martha went by to check on Bobby McClanahan after church. He is looking good and getting good care from his family and home health workers.
Happy 19th anniversary to Ernie and Stephanie Holliday on April 16. A durable metal, bronze has come to symbolize a long-lasting, resilient marriage. It’s both the traditional and modern theme for the 19th wedding anniversary. Make sure you don’t get her any metal and bronze pots and pans, Ernie! Maybe jewelry.
Happy birthday to Mildred Kendall on April 7th; Betty Fly Neal, Dot Arnold Champion and John Dukes share a birthday on the 13th; Malinda Ford Martinon celebrates the 16th; and my son, Timothy Sullivan, Julie Kerr and Ginny Toole Sosebee share a birthday on the 17th. I hope you all have a wonderful birthday.
Thought for the day….. When in doubt, look intelligent.
