Lara O’Neal, Bill O’Neal, Kevin O’Neal, Harley Gratto, Laurel Gratto, along with young Teddy Gratto from Serendipity Family Farm, eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone on May 4th to the first Farmers Market of the season.
WATER VALLEY – Featuring an array of well-known vendors, the upcoming Water Valley Farmers Market promises an eclectic mix of artisanal offerings to tantalize every palate.
Among the vendors are Harris Family Farm, renowned for their wonderful selection of plants, seeds, produce, and assorted breads, alongside Moonbee Flower Farm, known for their fragrant bouquets and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) flowers. Sue Can Do entices with delectable baked goods, ready-made meals, and catering, while Marjorie Brunt showcases her mesmerizing canvas artistry.
Oxford Bakehouse presents an irresistible assortment of croissants, baked treats, and Ciabatta bread. Serendipity Family Farms offers an abundant harvest of fresh veggies, garlic, honey, bagels, fresh bread, pork, and even pre-order options for whole frozen chickens.
Poultry In Motion promises to wow visitors with a diverse array of veggies, eggs, cottage foods, crafts, and more. Specialty Vendors will attend during the season as their goods are available with Watermelons, Pumpkins, Beef, Sweet Corn, Pecans and Hot Sauce!
Younger attendees are invited to partake in complimentary kids’ activities to make and take home at each market, ensuring a fun-filled experience for the entire family. Moreover, visitors can relish in the aromatic aroma of freshly brewed coffee, provided free of charge at all markets.
Adding to the festive ambiance, live musical performances are scheduled throughout the season, with Kevin Guyer kicking off in May, followed by John Daigle in June, Joe Austin and the Tallahatchie’s in July and Alana Mosley in August. Graciously sponsored by Backtrack Antiques and Gifts, as well as Tommy and Liz Reynolds, these musical interludes promise to enrich the market experience with soulful tunes and harmonious melodies.
Furthermore, food enthusiasts can look forward to a unique culinary experience, as a resident chef crafts one-bowl meals using locally sourced ingredients at every market. Proceeds from these culinary delights will benefit the local food bank, underscoring the market’s commitment to community welfare and sustainable practices.
Water Vallians and visitors alike, are invited to join the action under the Magnolia trees in Railroad Park the first Saturday of May and continuing the first Saturday of the month through November for an unforgettable journey through the heart and soul of Water Valley’s thriving agricultural scene.
