Members of the Town and Country Garden Club and their guests recently visited the gardens at Leigh and Cliff Johnson’s home on Hwy. 7, just north of Water Valley. They enjoyed a memorable day and highlights included taking photos with “Cluck Norris,” (right)
the replacement for “Mr. Rooster,” who was well-known for his seasonal change of costumes as he greeted motorist on Hwy. 7. “Mr. Rooster” disappeared from his perch several weeks ago and became the focus of a wide search by his many admirers. The Garden Club visitors also enjoyed seeing Pumpkin the Pig (above) and meeting Sissy, a foster dog from Second Chance Animal Alliance who is up for adoption. The group also admired exotic chickens and shared a delicious lunch. – Photos by Jessie Gurner
