I received the sweetest phone call Saturday morning from Mrs. Audrey Ross saying she would be 101 years young on October 10 and if I didn’t mind, would I add it in my news. I told her that I think of her often and I do. I’ve always loved this precious lady and I wanted her to have her own recognition while celebrating her 101 birthday. Happy birthday, Miss Audrey! God is good!
Deborah McCool helped with the fall festival at church Saturday. She did the cakewalk. Everyone had fun and got lots of sweet stuff.
On Sunday, Deborah reported they all celebrated her daughter’s (Kimberly) birthday. Deborah cooked lasagna and chicken and dressing. She said there are a couple folks in family, Jason and Caitlyn, who don’t eat lasagna. That’s why they also had dressing. She made a cake too and then Hannah, Kim’s daughter, came in with a big chocolate cake and red velvet cupcakes, so lots of sweet stuff after eating.
Angela Dukes and son, PJ; Deborah and Tommy McCool; and Hannah’s boyfriend all showed up at Kimberly’s to eat a lot and visit and she enjoyed it.
On Tuesday Deborah will head to Flowood for her six-week check up since her surgery. Prayers for a good report for you, Deborah.
Lila Myrick got to take her heart monitor off Monday and send it off. I know she was happy to take it off. I pray all is well with you, Lila.
Bobby Joe McClanahan’s daughter, Kirsti, and children visited him Sunday morning. Freddie Wayne and JoJo McClanahan went to Smithland, Ky. to attend funeral services for his cousin, Dewayne Belt. He died from a massive heart attack. The service was Sunday.
David’s porch visitor Saturday was Lee McMillian. Seems like most visitors come when I’m napping! That could be morning or evening! Haha
Wanda Crawford called me the other afternoon all excited, telling me that she is a great grandmother again. Her granddaughter, Alex Ballard, and her husband, Quintin, are the proud parents of a new baby girl. Baylor-Kate Allyn Ballard weighed seven pounds, three ounces and is 19 inches long. Baylor-Kate has a proud big sister, Kylie, who adores her.
Thank you Donna Sue for the big salad you brought up Sunday. I got three meals out of it!
Happy birthday to Ann Ragon, Gracie Beardain and my great-nephew, Bo Bickerstaff on the 10th; Jacque Dickey, Kathy Bloodworth and Billy Jack Williamson on the 11th; to Sheila O’ Bryant on the 12th; Delia Arbuckle on the 13th; and my sweet sister, Ann Hudson celebrates the 14th as well as Samy McCracken, John Adam Robinson and Randy Hoop.
Thought for the day- The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our disposition and not our circumstances.
