I hope everyone is having a great week. The weather is finally looking better. Things are going good out here in our little community at Mt. Liberty Church. We had a Valentine’s dinner Saturday after postponing it due to bad weather. Everything was so good and we had a blast. It’s always a great time when we get together. I saw a post that said church isn’t a building you go to, but a family you belong to. That is so true.

Bro. Grant Coffey brought a great message Sunday from 1 Samuel 17:40-50. We see David going up against Goliath. Goliath had a shield and a spear but David said he came in the name of the Lord. There is so much power in that statement, and we can learn from it.

First, we see David’s heart. Second, we see the passion he has for God. We have Jesus. We have the promise that He is always with us. We only need to use His name. We have the Holy Spirit living in us. Healing happens in his name. Demons were cast out in his name. Salvation is done in his name. We are baptized in his name. We pray in his name. We speak the name of Jesus over our lives.

If you have a Goliath in your life and you’re not calling on Him, that’s why you feel defeated. Start speaking the Name above all names over your life. Don’t sit and suffer. Call on the name of the Lord. He is the key to victory in this life.

It was truly a beautiful message. I’ve been dealing with so much the past month and it really hit home for me. Having panic disorder is not easy and messages like this really show me what I’m doing wrong.

We also had wonderful professions Sunday. Breeze and Jade came to the alter. Breeze wants to rededicate and Jade asked the Lord into her heart and made a profession of faith. They will both be baptized next Sunday. We also ask for prayers for Breeze as she had a procedure this week. Also, Coy Anna was hospitalized to have tests run, so we ask for prayers for her.

Sunday night was music night. I wasn’t able to go as we stay with Dr. Denham on Sunday night. I know everyone had a great time though. Music night is a very special night dedicated to worshiping the Lord. It seems to usher in the Holy Spirit.
If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us at Mt. Liberty, located at 603 County Road 284. Services start at 11 a.m.
