Jimmie Dale Edwards

DURHAM, NC – Jimmie Dale Edwards , 81 of Durham NC, passed away on December 31, 2025. Born in Water Valley, he was a devoted husband to Margaret and a loving father to Paula and Jimme Dale Jr.

Jimmie was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 35-plus years working for Bell South/ ATT. In addition to his career, he enjoyed raising bees, Hereford cattle and gardening.

He is survived by a daughter, Paula; a brother, Larry; and many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond McCain Edwards and Marget Logan Edwards; his wife, Margaret; his brother, Donald; and his son, Jimmie Dale Jr. (Bo).

Jimmie was cremated and will be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery (Water Valley) in the Edwards section.

Donations can be made to American Heart Association or French Camp, two causes close to his heart.
