Don “Donnie” Neal Berry
    WATER VALLEY: Don “Donnie” Neal Berry, 49, died February 27, 2007, at his home.
    Graveside services for Mr. Berry were held at two o’clock in the afternoon Friday, March 2, 2007, in Camp Ground Cemetery, near Water Valley. Latham Fuenral Home had charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Berry was a self-employed painter.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Water Valley.
    Survivors include: two daughters, Mesha Berry of Southaven and Ryann Berry of Washington; a son, Don Jacob Berry of Water Valley; parents, Jimmy and Shirley Berry of Water Valley; two sisters, Pammy Wylie of Plano, Texas and Jammy Williams of Meridian; two brothers, Richard Lynn Stough and Guy Allen Stough, both of Water Valley; and three grandchildren.

Gloria Gene Howard
    WATER VALLEY: Gloria Gene Howard, age 66, of Water Valley died at her home Friday, March 2, 2007, following a lengthy illness. Gloria and Paul were able to celebrate their 26th Anniversary on February 28, 2007. She was homemaker and member of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 5 of Water Valley.
    Funeral services were held at two o’clock in the afternoon Monday, March 5, with Rev. Raymond Aven officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery with Gilbert Taylor, Robert Partain, Curtis Petit, Bud McCluskey, Larry Black, and Michael Blevins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Lewis and B. J. Chinault.
    Survivors include: her husband of 26 years, William Paul Howard, Sr. of Water Valley; daughter, Elizabeth Cooper of Hamilton, Alabama; a step-daughter, Paula Hall of Kelly, Louisiana; sons, Johnny Chinault, Jr. of Oxford and William (Bo) Chinault of Water Valley; step-sons, William P. Howard, Jr. and Oscar Howard, both of Winnsboro, Louisiana; sisters, Katie Partain of Oakland, Barbara Blevins of Crystal Beach, Texas, Kathy Petit of Arna, Louisiana, Linda Hinkle of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, and Becky Black of Houston.
    Preceding Gloria in death were: her first husband, Johnny Bruce Chinault, Sr.; sons, Jimmy L. Chinault and Michael W. Chinault; parents, L. D. Chambless, Sr. and Linder Mae Tubbs Chambless; two sisters, Ruthie Cook and Janice Taylor; and one brother, L. D. Chambless, Jr.

Mary Kathryn McCain Hudson
    TAYLOR: Mrs. Mary Kathryn McCain Hudson, 69, died March 1, 2007, in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Hudson were held at two o’clock in the afternoon Sunday, March 4, 2007, in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Hurdle officiating. Burial was in Yocona Cemetery.
    She was a former owner of Taylor Grocery and Restaurant from 1980-1997. Mrs. Hudson was a member of Taylor Baptist Church.
    Survivors include: a daughter, Kathy Dawn Hudson Shoffner of Taylor; a son, Allen Franklin Hunter of Taylor; three brothers, James Elton McCain of Ritchey, Missouri, Sam McCain of Pope, and Charlie McCain of Taylor; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    Memorials may be made to Taylor Baptist Church, P. O. Box 42, Taylor MS 38673.

Ester B. McClaflin
Esther Blanchard McClaflin, 59, of Palmetto, Fl, died Feb 20, 2007 in TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care.  She was born June 4, 1947 the daughter of the late Mary B. Peacock and Edwin Sargent Blanchard in Orlando Fl. living her education and early work years in Jacksonville, Fl.  
Retired from General Electric in Louisville Ky. in 2002 she had lived in Palmetto, Fl since Dec 2003. Esther was a member of Parkway Christian Church of Sarasota Fl., which she had faithfully attended since moving to Florida.
Visitation with a short memorial service was held Feb 22, 2007, at Griffith Cline Funeral Home in Bradenton, Fl. by Bro. Terry Wise of Parkway Christian Church. Following a visitation, funeral services were held in Memphis, Tn. Feb 24, 2007 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with Bro Ferman Anderson of Amory, Ms officiating. Burial was Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McClaflin is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” McClaflin, of Palmetto, Fl.: two sisters Carol (Robert) Grenn of New Orleans, La.: and Joan (Francis) Lynch of Natick, Ma.  Mother-In-Law Virginia McClaflin of Memphis, Sister-In-Laws Pat (James) Sansom of Water Valley, and Terryl (Tim) Viner of Memphis.  Nieces, Diane, Dana, Denise and Delany Viner also survive.
