Letters To Santa From 20 Years Past
That greeting has been written by generations of Yalobusha kids to the jolly ol’ gent. And, the Herald has always passed along these letters to the North Pole to help out our friends at the Post Office. These are from 1987:
For Christmas I want a watch, Amazing Heather, Cricket and a wagon.
Love, Beth Cobern
I am five years old. I can’t wait for you to come to my house! I’ll leave you some more milk and cookies. You ate them all up last year.
I would like a bike with training wheels and a wind-up toy that swims in the bathtub. I wish I could get a new Bad to the Bones like I had for my birthday. It’s already broken, but my Mommy says you might not bring me this one.
Please bring Valery a diamond necklace with a heart shape on it, and the hearts colored red. Jordan wants a new dirt bike.
Love, Carter White
For Christmas I want a scooter and a radio.
