Johnnie Marvin Wilbourn
WATER VALLEY: Johnnie Marvin Wilbourn, age 92, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008, in Yalobusha County Nursing Home at Water Valley.
Born July 31, 1915, in Yalobusha County, Mr. Wilbourn was a son of the late Mary Henry Pou and Tillman Wilbourn. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff of Yalobusha County and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
The funeral service was held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 23, with Brother Calvin Miller officiating. The committal was in Pinecrest Cemetery on Highway 7, just south of Water Valley, with Johnny Blackwood, Craig Stewart, Steven Stewart, Rusty Wilbourn, Alan Wilbourn, James Wilbourn, Tyrone Wilbourn, and Kevin Wilbourn serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Wilbourn is survived by: his wife, Alberta Louise Haire Wilbourn of Water Valley; a daughter Mary Jane Stewart of Water Valley; two sons, Marvin Dale Wilbourn and Sammy Lee Wilbourn, both of Water Valley; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Sandra Beatrice Keel
WATER VALLEY: Mrs. Sandra Beatrice Keel, 62, of Water Valley, died Monday, February 18, 2008, in Baptist Memorial Hospital—East at Memphis.
She was born January 17, 1946, to the late Travis Lamar and Kathleen McCullar Bonner in Water Valley. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Panola County.
The funeral service was held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at two o‘clock in the afternoon, Thursday, February 21, 2008, with Rev. Roger Howell officiating. Burial followed in Lovejoy Cemetery in Panola County.
Survivors include: her husband, Ernest Keel of Water Valley; three daughters, Karen Kilpatrick of Water Valley, Jaynette McDonald of Coldwater, and Angie Gentry of Water Valley; a son, Johnny Ware of Batesville; two brothers, Travis Bonner and Lamar Bonner, both of Georgetown; and ten grandchildren.
