The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is offering a free energy audit to local businesses, according to the Water Valley Main Street Association.
“With costs going up every day it makes sense to save money where you can. An energy audit is a good tool that can help reduce utility bills,” says Jessie Gurner, WVMSA manager.
An energy audit is a survey that shows how much energy is used and which helps find ways to prioritize energy uses in ways that are most efficient and cost effective.
According to Floyd Daniels, Bureau Manager of the Energy Division of the Mississippi Development Authority, the MDA will arrange for engineers to come and look at a business and access what can be done to make if operate more efficiently.
“After the visit, a report is prepared and sent to the business which lists suggestions and options,” says Daniels. The MDA will also help the business in its efforts to follow some of the suggestions. To schedule an energy audit contact Daniels at 601-359-6600 or email@example.com.
You can save on energy and more your business more comfortable, too—and that’s not even counting the benefits to the planet by stretching energy supplies. “It’s a win-win situation,” Gurner says.
