Bridge Work Completed

The Mississippi Department of Transportation has reopened to local traffic the west end of a 3.5 mile section of Hwy. 315 east of Water Valley near Valley Animal Hospital. The road had been closed while MDOT replaced a bridge with a double culvert. Simultaneously, the east end of this section, near O’Tuckalofa Baptist Church, will be closed. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 2, according to MDOT. Here crews from J.J. Ferguson Sand & Gravel, Inc., clean up in preparation for last Tuesday’s reopening.

New Release from the Mississippi Department of Transportation:

JACKSON –  The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) would like to announce the following traffic alert to motorists traveling in Yalobusha County.

At 7:00 am on Tuesday, July 15, the north end of the 3.5 mile section of Highway 315 just south of Water Valley that has been closed for bridge replacement will be reopened to local traffic.  This is the section near Valley Animal hospital.  

Simultaneously, the south end of this section, near Otoucalofa Baptist Church, will be closed.  All road closures on this section of Highway 315 are expected to be completed by August 2, 2008 in time for school buses to use the highway.
