Timothy Elmo Bagguley

COFFEEVILLE –  Timothy Elmo Bagguley, 53, of Coffeeville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at his residence.

  Born February 24, 1955, he was a son the late Thomas Elmo and Mary Elizabeth Hughes Bagguley. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was an Army veteran.

  The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 2, in Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel at Grenada. Interment followed in the Coffeeville Cemetery.

  He is survived by two daughters, Tonya Harbin of Scobey and Patricia Daniels of Grenada; one son, Rynne Bagguley of Columbus; six grandchildren, Kristopher Harbin, Shane Harbin, Grayson Harbin, Randi Daniels, Dani Daniels, and Jackson Daniels; and one sister, Lynda Pipkin of Coffeeville.

Don L. Bowen

WATER VALLEY – Don L. Bowen, born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in Yalobusha General Hospital.

  Don leaves a legacy of love for his family, which includes his beloved wife, Carol Kathleen Hermann Bowen; sons, Donald Lee, and wife, Connie, Charles Joseph, and wife, Angela, as well as daughters, Carol Kay Bowen-Chadwick, and husband, Doug, Debbie Lynn Bowen-Yates, and husband, Brian, and Kimberly Dawn Bowen-Tucker, and husband, Darrell. His extended family includes 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

  His career covers four decades as a food safety specialist in the food manufacturing industry that reached out to hundreds of millions of customers. He moved to Water Valley in 1989. Don has been a resident handyman, fisherman and friend to his neighbors for the past 20  years.

James Olan Marchbanks

  GRENADA – James Olan Marchbanks, 84, of Grenada, died Monday, September 29, 2008, in Grenada Lake Medical Center.

  Born May 8, 1924, he was a son of the late Thomas James and Amelia Holt Faulkner Marchbanks.

  A memorial service was held at two o’clock in the afternoon Saturday, October 4, in Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Gene Foshee officiating.

  Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Nichols Marchbanks of Grenada; three daughters, Wanda Conner of Lenoir, North Carolina, Donna Rogers of Grenada, and Dana Woods of Duck Hill; two sons, Walter Marchbanks of Grenada and Gregory Marchbanks of Thibodeaux, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Barnett of Oxford.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Terry Marchbanks, one sister, Betty Jean Jones, and two brothers, Thomas Marchbanks, Jr. and Claud Marchbanks.

James Woodard

WATER VALLEY – James Woodard, 91, died October 1, 2008, in Yalobusha General Hospital.

  He was born April 8, 1917. Mr. Woodard was a factory worker and worked for Motts. He was a Baptist.

  The funeral service was held at eleven o’clock in the morning Tuesday, October 7, in the Water Valley Civic Auditorium. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, with Eddie Robinson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
