Ginny Sue Williamson Brooks

WATER VALLEY: Ginny Sue Williamson Brooks, age 59, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at her residence near Water Valley.

  Having moved to this area from Southaven in 2005, she had retired from the IRS as a clerical worker. Mrs. Brooks enjoyed living near the water and related activities with her family. Gardening and growing flowers were things in which she took pleasure. Mrs. Brooks was a Christian, with a great deal of compassion for those in need. One of the things she was noted for was her sense of humor.

  There will be no public memorial service. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  Survivors include: her husband, Michael C. Brooks of Water Valley; three daughters, Amanda Thomas of Hernando, Margaret Farrell and Jennifer Brumley, both of Southaven; two sisters, Kay A. Davis of Shelbyville, Tenn. and Ann Watkins of Newton; two brothers, Matthew Williamson of Pocahontas and Douglas Williamson, Jr. of Rome, Georgia; and four grandchildren.
