Gary Brown Haire
MERIDIAN – Gary Brown Haire, 56, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Meridian.
Born in Coffeeville, he was a son of Judy Brown Haire of Water Valley and the late Oscar L. Haire. He was painter by trade and loved fishing.
A graveside service was held Saturday, May 15, at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Bethlehelm Cemetery in the Velma Community, with Rev. Freddie Moorman presiding.
Survivors include: a son, Chris Haire of Horn Lake; his mother, Judy Brown Haire of Water Valley; two sisters, Sandra Magno of Seattle, Wash., and Nancy Miller of Southaven; two uncles, Calvin Brown of Byhalia, and Brooks Brown of Whitehaven; and three aunts, Juanita Zorgoli of Water Valley, Wilma Russum of Collierville, Tenn. and Rebecca Moore of Water Valley.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Haire.

Inez Buford Morgan
WATER VALLEY – Inez Buford Morgan, age 73, passed away Sunday, May 16, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born in Water Valley, MS to the late Romenion Buford, Sr. and Sarah Avent Buford. She retired from her position as a stock keeper for McCanna. Inez was a member of the Church of Christ in Water Valley.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 22, at 1 p.m. in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. The committal will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley.
Mrs. Inez is survived by her husband, Clarence Morgan, Jr. of Water Valley; three daughters, Cynthia Luvert, Sharon Hall, and Rhonda Walker, all of Chicago, Ill.; a son, Travis Morgan of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Betty Robinson of Pomona, Cal, Ruby Jean Buford of Chicago, Ill., and Ann Lavern Ball of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Romenion Buford, Jr. of Chicago, Ill. and Rochester Buford of Water Valley; five grandchildren, Ewaun Martin of Crest Hill, Ill., David Walker, Tyron Morgan, Eric Hall, and Taniah Hall, all of Chicago, Ill.; and three great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Emmint Buford and a grandson, Anthony Luvert.
Jonathan Lee Turner
WATER VALLEY – Jonathan Lee Turner, age 47, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Oxford in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi.
Born in Marks, he was a son of Ruby Lee Bowles Turner of Water Valley and the late Floyd Lewis Turner, Sr. He was a soldier in the Army National Guard, a self-employed painter by trade and a Baptist by faith. Jonathan was an outdoors person who loved hunting and fishing. He has “…fought the good fight…” II Timothy 4:7.
A graveside service was held Saturday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery at Water Valley, with Rev. Ken Izzard presiding.
Survivors include a daughter, Kerri Tackett of Cleveland; his mother, Ruby Lee Bowles Turner of Water Valley; a sister, Pam McCuan (Ricky) of Water Valley; four brothers, Floyd Lewis Turner of Water Valley, Steven Daniel Turner of Plantersville, Joseph Farrell Turner of Water Valley, and John Roger Dale Turner (Mary Jane) of Oxford; and three grandchildren, Jackson Caswell, Marlee Caswell, and Joe Roberson.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Sue Smith, and a brother, Peter Anthony Turner.

Harold Grey Williams
Harold Grey Williams, Jr., age 46, of Water Valley died Monday, May 17, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Grey was the son of Harold Grey Williams Sr. of Water Valley and the late Mary Lou Johnson Williams. He was a managing partner of the longtime family business, Williams Flowers and Gifts, and was a former car dealer who had been recognized with many awards in the car industry. Grey had garnered many barbecue cooking awards and was greatly loved by a host of friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday, May 20, at 11 a.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Aven and Dr. Randy Bain presiding. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 19, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seven Oaks. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
Grey is survived by his daughter, Jessica Grey Williams and her mother, Kim Williams, both of Water Valley; a sister, Kathy Johnson Williams of Peachtree City, Ga.; and his father, Harold Grey Williams, Sr. of Water Valley, MS.
He was preceded in death in 2006 by his mother, Mary Lou Johnson Williams
