Judith McCain

HERNANDO—Judith L. McCain, 64, passed away at her home October 28, 2010.

She supported many causes, including the ASPCA, Humane Society, Arbor Foundation, and Mid-South Tissue Bank.

Visitation was held Friday, October 29, from 5-8 p.m. at Hernando Funeral Home with a service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, in Jumpers Chapel Congregational Church in Water Valley.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Boemler.

She is survived by: her husband, Jerry McCain; daughters, Beth May of Lakeland, Tenn., Cheri Olderfield of Byhalia, Kim Guthrie of Germantown, Tenn., and Lori Yount of Virginia Beach VA; her mother, Helen Boemler of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, Thomas Treadway of Crestview, Fla.,  six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.

 
Kenneth Sissell

Rev. Kenneth Sissell, 85, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away November 1, 2010, at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia. Services were held Thursday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Senatobia where he was a member. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, Miss.

Rev. Sissell was a veteran of WWII having served in the Navy. He was a member of the Senatobia Rotary Club and pastored several churches in North Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife, Robbie Bray Sissell of Senatobia; his daughter, Sandra Thompson of Germantown, Tenn.; his sister, Carolyn Elkin of Columbus, Miss.; and one grandson, Zach Hood of Brandon, Miss.

The family requests that any memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church in Senatobia or any charity of choice.
