David Wroth Bryan

OXFORD—David Wroth Bryan, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford.
  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
    Mr. Bryan is survived by his daughter, Belinda Fristrom of Memphis; two sons,, David Bryan of Rockford, Ill. and Daniel Glenn Bryan of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister, Vivian Bryan Gilley of Water Valley; a brother, Watt Bryan of Spartanburg, South Carolina; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    In honor of Mr. Bryan’s service to his country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of local arrangements.

Willie Bell Walker

WATER VALLEY—Willie Bell Walker, age 89, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Oxford in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi.
    Born July 12, 1923, in Coffeeville, Mrs. Walker was a daughter of the late James and Virginia Robinson. She was  a  devoted homemaker and an avid gardener. Mrs. Walker was a member of Everdale Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, from nine until eleven o’clock in Everdale Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at eleven o’clock with Rev. Phillip Brackett and Rev. Kevin Lee officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Water Valley.
    Survivors include three daughters, Biadin Brown (Cleveland) of Decatur, Ga., Dorothy Haywood (James) of Omaha, NE, and Ruby Walker of Water Valley; three sons, Curtis Robinson (Bessie) of Detroit, Michigan, Robert Walker (Beverly), and Lugene Walker (Beverly), both of Water Valley; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Walker, one son, Leon Robinson, and two brothers, Booker and Milton Robinson.
