Betty McKellar Craddock

WATER VALLEY — Betty McKellar Craddock, age 68, passed away Sunday morning, April 13, 2014, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville.
  A memorial service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon Wednesday, April 16, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny McKellar and Mrs. Jeanette Streitmatter conducting the service. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery at Sardis.
  Born October 16, 1945, in Coahoma County, Mrs. Craddock was a daughter of the late Lonzo and Jency Monell Fox Bowman. She worked delivering parts for Carquest Auto Parts out of Richland. Many will recall her love for Bingo, and her belief that “the early bird gets the worm”. Listening to music, dancing, fishing, and gardening were among her hobbies. Betty was of the Baptist faith.
  She leaves behind a loving family, which includes her daughter, Cynthia Patterson Howard of Doddsville; one son, Marcus Patterson of Clinton; life-time friend, Bill Craddock of Water Valley; three sisters, Peggy Walters of Memphis, Linda Ellis of Batesville, and Mary Mooneyhan of Richland; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Troy Patterson; a sister, Cathryn “Kit Kat” Bowman; and three brothers, Frank Bowman, E. L. Bowman and Alvin  Bowman.
