Audra “Audrey” Crabtree Gray

OXFORD—Audra “Audrey” Crabtree Gray, age 85, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in Oxford Nursing and Rehab at Oxford.
    Born May 27, 1929, in Turley, Missouri, Mrs. Gray was a daughter of the late Elmer Lloyd and Ruby Thrasher Crabtree. Audrey was a homemaker and a member of Sand Springs Orwood Presbyterian Church in Lafayette County. She was a devoted Christian, sharing her testimony daily with family and others. Audrey enjoyed cooking, especially for her family, and loved spending time with family and friends.
    Visitation was held from 10 a.m.- noon, June 14, in Seven Oaks Funeral Home at Water Valley. A graveside service was held at 12:45 p.m. in Sand Springs Orwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lafayette County with Dr. Mark Gray officiating.
    Survivors include her daughters, Judy McMinn of Oxford and Susan Bailey of Southaven; sons, Luther Gray (Glenda) of Oxford, Scott Gray (Dawn) and Richie Gray, all of Water Valley, John Gray (Leigh Cher) of Brookhaven; her sister, Bonnie Irwin of Lakehills, Texas; three brothers, Franklin Crabtree (Henrietta) of Wright City, Mo., Lloyd Crabtree, Jr. of Rhineland, Mo., and Don Crabtree (Elaine) of St. Peters, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alfred Gray; sisters, Jessie Bable and Jeretta Pearia; and two brothers, Johnnie Crabtree and Bill Crabtree.

Mozelle Champion Edington

ALBANY, GA—Mozelle Champion Edington, 84, of Porter, Texas, formerly of Sasser, Ga., died Friday, June 13, 2014.
    The funeral service was held at eleven o’clock in the morning Tuesday, June 17, in Macedonia Cemetery, Terrell County, Ga., with Rev. Wallace Willis officiating.
    Mrs. Edington was born in Water Valley. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Porter, Texas. Mrs. Edington was a military wife and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, M/Sgt. Charles K. Edington, USAF (Ret.); and siblings, Marie Sanders, Coren Hollingsworth, and Frank Champion.
    Survivors include her son, Charles Michael (Mike) Edington (Frankie) of Bastrop, Texas;  a daughter, Teresa Edington Walker (Scott) of Southport, Fla.; grandchildren, Charles Daniel Edington Lindsey of Portland Ore., Jeremy Wayne Dyson of Athens, Ga., Charles Fletcher Edington of Austin, Texas, John Michael Edington of Bastrop, Texas; one great-grandchild; sisters, Lura M. Trainer of Southaven, Nelda Wilburn of Garland, Texas, and Shirley Sutton of Porter, Texas; and a brother, Bob Champion of Dallas.

Brian Keith Roach

BATESVILLE—Brian Keith Roach, age 50, died Tuesday evening, June 10, 2014, after an automobile accident in Iuka.
    A graveside service was held at ten o’clock in the morning Saturday, June 14, in Bethel Cemetery at Enid.
    Born August 31, 1963, in Kennett, Missouri, Brian was a son of the late Sonny and Patsy Goodrich Roach. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Roach enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. During the spring and summer months he spent time gardening, both flowers and vegetables. Brian served his country in the U.S. Navy.
     He is survived by a daughter, Andrea Cecerre (Steven) of Pope; one son, David Roach of Batesville; five sisters, Carla Willis of Pope, Donna Garrison, Susan Wiggins, Crystal Taylor, all of Oakland, and Rebecca McGee of Duck Hill; and five grandchildren.
    Those who preceded him in death include his parents, and two brothers, Ronald Eugene Roach and Carthel David Roach.

Zaya Brielle White

WATER VALLEY—Zaya Brielle White, infant daughter of Kayla Leigh Ann White, died Monday, June 9, 2014, in LeBonheur Children’s Hospital at Memphis.
    A graveside service was held at eleven o’clock in the morning Thursday, June 12, in Bayson Chapel Cemetery, near Water Valley, with Rev. Amos Sims and Rev. Sammy Townes officiating.
    Zaya is survived by her mother, Kayla White; her father; maternal grandmother, Pam Rogers; maternal grandfather, Kenny White, all of Water Valley; her great-grandmothers, Shirley Rogers of Water Valley, and Annie White of Taylor.
    Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave., Memphis, TN 38103.

Chester Orance Vanlandingham

WATER VALLEY—Chester Orance Vanlandingham, age 63, of Water Valley died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home.
 Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, from 5-7 p.m. in Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel at Water Valley The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19, at eleven o’clock in the morning in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jerry King officiating.
    Born June 28, 1950 in Clarksdale, Mr.  Vanlandingham was a son of the late Harley Orance Vanlandingham and Ms. Delois Pendergrass.
    He leaves three sisters, Patricia Welder, Wanda Savage, and Connie Roland; six brothers, Kenneth Vanlandingham, Charles Vanlandingham, Billy Vanlandingham, Lesley Vanlandingham, Teddy Vanlandingham, and Wesley Vanlandingham; and a host of family and friends.
