Joe Woodrick Richardson
WATER VALLEY—Joe Woodrick Richardson, Sr., 69, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 7, 2014, at his home in Water Valley.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, in Chancellor Funeral Home at Byran. The funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning Wednesday, July 9, in First Baptist Church of Terry, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Terry Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson had lived in Water Valley for the past three years, previously living in Dublin, Georgia for 12 years and Louisville for 22 years. He loved music—playing and singing. He had served as interim minister of music for years and was a devoted Christian. Mr. Richardson had worked at Bell South, Georgia Pacific, and owned Atley Communications, before working for Advance Drainage Systems.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Atley Richardson and Gertrude Skipworth Richardson.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sarah Eaves Richardson of Water Valley; a son, Joey Richardson of Port Gibson; daughters, Gaydon Richardson Wright and Shannon Richardson, both of Louisville, and Maggie Jane Richardson of Water Valley; a brother, Rick Richardson of Terry; and grandchildren, Braydon and Colby Wright.
