Erica Dawn Brady

WATER VALLEY—Erica Dawn Brady, 32, of Water Valley went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
  Born in 1981 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of William Lee and Peggy Verda Mills Brady. She worked in accounting and banking. Erica enjoyed children and watching old movies. She was an avid reader and was an artist and sketcher. Erica enjoyed feeding her hummingbirds and her cat, Thomas. Her family and friends were her true loves. Erica was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church.
    Visitation was held Sunday afternoon, August 10, from 4-6 p.m. in Seven Oaks Funeral Home at Water Valley. The funeral service was held Monday, August 11, at ten o’clock in the morning in the Henry Chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Shane Crawford officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Water Valley.
    In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Matthew Brady, and his wife, Gretchen of Utica; her grandmother, Versie Brady of Lexington, N.C.; a niece, Katie Brady, and nephew, Caleb Brady; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Barbara Stribling Parker

FLOWOOD—Barbara Stribling Parker, formerly of Water Valley, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, in St. Dominic’s Hospital at Jackson.
    Born May 13, 1940, Mrs. Parker is a daughter of the late Flavis Joe and Lovie Greer Stribling of Water Valley. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother. Barbara enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.
    Visitation was held in Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, August 12. A graveside service followed visitation in Sylva Rena Cemetery with Bro. Keith Burney officiating.
  Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Wagner (Michael) and Anita Parker, all of Florence;  a son, Joseph Parker of Florence; two brothers, Bobby (Kathy) Stribling of Water Valley, and Billy (Diane) Stribling of Southaven; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker, and a son, Robert Paul Parker.

Sheryl Waller

PEARL RIVER, La. —A devout Christian lady, gifted musician, and dedicated educator, Sheryl Waller, 51, died July 23, 2014.
    Services were held in Williams Funeral Home at Pearl River.    
    She is survived by her parents, Rev. Alvin and Shirley Larson Waller, and her siblings, Suzanne, Lee, and Brian. Her paternal grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Waller. Sheryl’s maternal grandparents were Roy and Fannie Lou Larson, former lifelong residents of Water Valley.
