Dixie Rotenberry Brosseau

PENSACOLA, FLA.—Dixie Rotenberry Brosseau, 87 years old, of Pensacola, Fla. died November 15, 2014.
     Born July 14, 1927, Mrs. Brosseau was a daughter of the late Leo and Eula Mae Rotenberry. She was a homemaker.
    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  
    Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Joe Brosseau of Pensacola; sisters, Gay Brewer (Morris) of Philipp, Gwen Graham (Ralph) of Mesquite, Texas; brothers, Davie Rotenberry (Marie) of Dodd City, Texas, and Bob Rotenberry (Vivian) of Mesquite,Texas; sister-in-law, Peggy Rotenberry of Water Valley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Rotenberry and Billy Rotenberry.
 

Ora Bell Dawkins

COFFEEVILLE—Ora Bell Dawkins of Coffeeville, age 81, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Yalobusha General Hospital at Water Valley.
  Born March 3, 1933, in Pope, Mrs. Dawkins was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Allie Sprouse Miles. She was employed by Kellwood Company, where she retired as supervisor in quality control after 30 years of continuous service. Mrs. Dawkins was an active and faithful member of New Life Fellowship Church in Oakland, and enjoyed baking, crafting, sewing, quilting, working in her flowers and yard, and helping others. She treasured time spent with her family and grandchildren.
     Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 26, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon in Seven Oaks Funeral Home at Water Valley. The funeral service will follow visitation at 12 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of the funeral home, with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Water Valley, with Kristopher Myers, Matthew Hendricks, Terry West, Joseph Brown, Jerry King, and Andrew Albee as pallbearers.
    Survivors include her daughter, Linda Myers of Coffeeville; a sister, Ruby Kehoe (Earl) of Water Valley; her brother, Charlie “Richard” Miles (Carolyn) of Water Valley; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Tidwell.

Lynda Ruth Hodge Kinniburgh

OXFORD – Lynda Ruth Hodge Kinniburgh, 74, died Monday, November 17, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS.
Born in Lafayette County, Lynda was a daughter of the late Winfred and Ila Mitchell Hodge. She was a retired secretary for United Southern Bank and a member of North Oxford Baptist Church. Lynda enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren, commonly referred to as grandparenting.
Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, with services following in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Allen McGraw officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery.
    Lynda is survived by her husband, Kent L. Kinniburgh of Oxford; her sons, Kent E. Kinniburgh and his wife Janice, and Brent L. Kinniburgh and his wife, Andrea, all of Water Valley; six grandchildren, Hunter Kinniburgh of Loveland, Colo., Mimi Kinniburgh of Oxford, Marley, Kaylin and Madelyn Kinniburgh, all of Water Valley, and Ashley Bailey of Memphis; and two great grandchildren, Tony and Bailey Britt of Memphis.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Kinniburgh’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

James P. “Skip” Lewis

 LEESVILLE, La. – James P. “Skip” Lewis, age 65, was called home November 20, 2014. He was the son of James and Vivian L. Lewis.  He was a Marine Corps veteran and served our country during Vietnam. Skip was a musician and worked at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville as a medical technician for 15 years.
Visitation was held Sunday, November 23, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, Graveside services with military honors were held Monday, November 24, at 1 p.m. at Mount Liberty Cemetery.
Skip is survived by his son, Patrick Dillon Lewis of Weatherford, Texas; a sister, Cheri Kennedy of Springfield, Ill.; a brother, James Lewis, Jr., of Germantown, Tenn.; and his aunt, Erma Applewhite of Ardmore, Okla.  He was a nephew of Lorene Griffin and LaVern Wolfe.
