Water Valley High School and Davidson Elementary School will have registration for the 2017-18 school year for the upcoming kindergarten thru 12th grade on May 2 – 4 from 3:30 to 6 pm. The registration for upcoming Kindergarten-6th grade will be held at Davidson Elementary, and the upcoming 7th thru 12th grade will be held at Water Valley High School.
The requirements for parents or legal guardians for the upcoming kindergarten, 7th grade, and students new to district include Mississippi immunization form 121, birth certificate, social security card, and two proofs of residence, along with filling out the registration packet. The registration packet will be available on site or on the district’s web site.
The approved residency documents that will be accepted for registration include: filed homestead exemption form, mortgage documents or property deed, apartment or home lease, utility bills (gas, electric and water), driver’s license or state issued ID, voter precinct identification, and automobile registration. The residency must be for the 2017 year and the utility bills must be within the last three months. Cellular phone bills, cable bills, and affidavits will not be accepted. The two proofs must be in one of the parent’s names. Parents are also required to bring in a photo ID to show guardianship. Incomplete packets will be returned to the parent/ guardian and not accepted until it is complete. You may turn in packets during registration times.
You may download a copy of the registration packet on the Water Valley School District website starting Monday, April 24. If there is a problem with downloading these documents, please stop by the offices on each respective campus to pick up a packet. There may be a few documents to complete once you arrive at registration including an emergency card.
