Nancy Black McClellan


COFFEEVILLE—Nancy Black McClellan, age 80, died January 21, 2018, in Water Valley.

  

Born April 9, 1937, in Coffeeville, she was a daughter of the late Noel Black and Beulah Dees Black. Nancy retired from Kellwood Manufacturing Company after many years as a supervisor. During her years at Kellwood, Nancy forged many lifelong friendships. Nancy loved animals and treasured the time spent with her family. She was a member of Coffeeville United Methodist Church.

  

Visitation was held Wednesday, January 23, beginning at 1 p.m. in Seven Oaks Funeral Home at Water Valley. The funeral service followed in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment was in the Coffeeville Cemetery with Noel Hughes, Shawn Hughes, Geoffrey Hughes, Wayne Stark, Michael Defer and Skylar Defer as pallbearers.

  

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McClellan.

  

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Defer (Bubba); her grandson, Skylar Defer; and one sister, Cheryl Allen and her family of Coffeeville.


Benny Russell Fulwood


COFFEEVILLE—Benny Russell Fulwood, 60, of Coffeeville, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, in Baptist Memorial  Hospital—North Mississippi at Oxford. Born April 3, 1957, in Cleveland, Mr. Fulwood was a son of the late William Hugh and Velma Geneva Brown Fulwood. He worked for  many years at Crown Cork and Seal in Batesville and prior to that he was employed at Holley Carburetor.

 

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 28, in the Shiloh Cowboy Church near Coffeeville, with Rev. Ron Sessums officiating.

  

Survivors include his long-time companion, Minnie Pomerlee; a sister, Brenda Edwards of Greenville; his brother, Marvin Fulwood of Loudon, Tenn.; a special nephew, Scott Sellars of Coffeeville; two granddaughters, Cricket and Laci Sellars of Coffeeville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  

In addition to his parents, he was  preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Sellars and JoAnn Harrison, and two brothers, William Hugh Fulwood, Jr. and Mickey Fulwood.

  

Arrangements were entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.
