Tickets Are Available For Annual Chamber Banquet In May, Vaughns Will Be The Guest Speakers

Cary and Lalania Vaughn from Millington, Tenn. will speak and entertain at the Chamber of Commerce annual spring banquet on Friday, May 4, in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Tickets are on sale now at the Chamber office for $20 each.
In addition to the speakers, the exciting lineup at the annual banquet includes the presentation of the annual Braswell Hatcher Award, the announcement of new officers and directors for 2018-19, the awarding of the Elliot Scholarship and Mayor Donald Gray’s inaugural State of the City Address. The leadership will also change, as the gavel will be passed from Chamber President Linda Maynor to Nell Jobe.
About the Speakers
Cary is the CEO and President of Love Worth Finding Ministries, Inc. He is a motivational and inspirational speaker who participates with several boards and commissions in Tennessee, including the State of Tennessee, Department of Economic Development representing the Southwest Region; and he chaired the Shelby County Suburban Chamber Alliance for five years. He is active in his community, serving as District Governor of Rotary; and he welcomes ministry opportunities at Bellevue Baptist Church where he teaches in the College Ministry and has served as Deacon Chairman.
Lalania is the Fine Arts Director of Choral and Theatre activities at Tipton-Rosemark Academy, where she has been working for almost 20 years. She currently directs the High School and Middle School National Award-winning Concert Choirs and Show Choirs, as well the schools’ drama productions.
She has performed in over 27 musical productions in several states and most recently Playhouse 51 in Millington, where she revived the role of “Patsy Cline” in A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline.
