Regions Will Close WV Branch, Oxford University Bank Plans To Open Branch On Main Street

WATER VALLEY – Regions Bank will close their branch in Water Valley on August 21. 

Regions Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications Senior Partner Mel Campbell confirmed the branch will be consolidated into the new branch under construction on Jackson Avenue in Oxford. Campbell reported the new branch will be a Nexus-style location fully equipped with the latest technology including biometric safe boxes, video banking, DepositSmart ATMs and more. The new Oxford branch is slated to open on August 21. 

In other bank business, Oxford-based Oxford University Bank, has filed an application with the Department of Banking and Consumer Finance, State of Mississippi and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for permission to open a branch bank at 307 North Main in Water Valley.
