COFFEEVILLE – Renasant Bank confirmed Monday that the Coffeeville branch will close in April. The news broke late last week in Coffeeville as customers first heard the bank would close.
“After much research and analysis, we’ve made the decision to consolidate our Coffeeville location into our Water Valley banking operations,” reported John Oxford, Director of Marketing for Renasant Bank. “Although we fully understand the closing of our Coffeeville location may not be ideal for some, with direct deposit, online and mobile banking, as well as the short distance between Coffeeville and Water Valley, we believe this consolidation offers considerable operational efficiencies while creating a minimal impact for the vast majority of our Coffeeville customers.”
Oxford also said the bank will be communicating with customers about the consolidation in the near future.
“We anticipate the consolidation happening on Friday, April 2, 2021, which provides our customers plenty of time to move items from safe deposit boxes,” Oxford added.
The closure will mark the second time in less than a year that a regional bank has shuttered a branch in the county. Regions Bank closed their Water Valley location in July.
Renasant Bank operates more than 200 banking, lending, wealth management and financial services offices in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
